The Type Fight: Letter “L”

This letter “L” is my contribution to The Type Fight which is a competition where two designers enter the ring with an assigned letter and online voting names a winner.
I am calling this piece “Autumn in New York” as I created it while I was enjoying my first fall season in New York City. I was inspired by the gorgeous art deco buildings I am surrounded by with their gold fences and intricate gates. I thought the piece was finished until we had a 35° blustery day in the middle of October which inspired me to add some curly breezes.
